What is a #Syllabus
A #Syllabus first came about after the Charleston shooting in June 2015 as a way to collect resources and tools to educate today's youth about the situation that led to the terrible events in South Carolina. Since then, the #CharlestonSyllabus has used Twitter as a collaboration platform in gathering resources and sharing access to the list of books, articles, and readings that can shed light on racism in America today. The #CharlestonSyllabus has been so successful that it was published as a book in 2018.
The concept of creating and collaborating on a #Syllabus has become an empowering way to communicate and a digital history tool to launch education into the 21st century. In an effort to collect and share resources related to making global connections, raising up learners in a digital world, and fostering relationships among educators, we invite you to collaborate with us by sharing your knowledge and share in the resources we gather by reading our #GlobalConnectionsSyllabus. Please use the form below to submit tools, resources, examples, or products that you've used, your learners have created, or that others might find useful!
