Oculus Go VROculus Go is an "all in one" headset that allows the viewer to tap into VR experiences through apps- similar to what a tablet mixed with a Wii would do in VR! VR is still new to education, but the opportunities available create such memorable experiences and the app store is constantly being updated with more tools. My students have toured Anne Frank's house, walked with Nelson Mandela to his prison cell on Robben Island, explored the remnants of Chernobyl, and followed a child through a UNHCR refugee camp. There are apps for all subjects and age groups, ranging from high school chemistry and anatomy to learning and practicing basic math skills; situational experiences in learning a new language to meditation and self-care; tours of college campuses and first aid training to public speaking. Although the devices may seem expensive at about $200 each, Donors Choose is a great program for easy community fundraising- I've been able to purchase 3 of my headsets this way!
